So for this first keynote, we'll be diving into how we can discover powerful on-chain insights from the use of a block explorer. So on the topic of exploring Ethereum and L2s with a block explorer, please join me in welcoming TY, content writer from Etherscan. Welcome, TY. Hello, good morning everyone. So good to see you here. Hope my head is not too bright for you. Okay, so a short intro. My name is TY and I come from a community called Ethereum Kuala Lumpur based in Malaysia. And I'm also a content writer at Etherscan. So for the first session of the day, let's start with something simple, right? We'll do exploring Ethereum with a blog explorer, and then later on we'll touch a little bit about Ethereum's ever-growing Layer 2 ecosystem. Right. First, before we proceed, some disclaimers. Today's sharing session is solely for informational and educational purposes only. It should not be taken as investment nor financial advice. Okay, before we start also, I've prepared a spreadsheet of useful links that you can follow along during this talk. Or you can just go to the top bit.ly slash ifc dash explorer. And then there will be like a bunch of links for you to follow through the sharing session today. You have like 10 seconds. Okay. All right. So before we go into what is a block explorer, let's just quickly go through how is Ethereum being used today. I've prepared like four examples. The first example is no loss lottery protocol. So today, Ethereum users, they can actually enter in the lottery without paying anything, right? All they have to do is just deposit some of their savings into this protocol that they can withdraw at any time. And if they do have a winning, then the winnings are just to keep, right? Okay, so secondly, currently on Ethereum, you can also take out a loan without putting down any collateral. And thirdly, there's this, long time ago, there's this out $2 million worth of dividend at the start of this month on Ethereum. Okay, so then you'll ask, why? Why Ethereum? And how does Ethereum work? So, have anyone tried GrabBike in Bangkok already? Like, they're super amazing, they're fast, they get you to your destination quick. Okay, so just imagine Ethereum as this network of GrabBikes, right? Where every 12 seconds, one random GrabBike rider will be chosen to process transactions from a sea of people, right? So everyone here, they will be queuing up and they want to, you know, submit transactions to the Ethereum network. So this chosen rider, it will actually, you see the box there in the back, so he will like pack all the transactions into this box and then once he is done, he will be sending this box to all the GrabBike riders in the whole Ethereum network for them to verify. So how they verify? They just go through the transactions and then they'll see, okay, if it's legit, they'll just give a stamp of approval, right? And then once this box of transactions, they have been verified, it will be sent into like a super secure warehouse to be stored. Okay. And then all the transactions that is stored in a warehouse can be actually accessed by everyone in the world. Yeah. So how can we actually, you know, the use cases that I shared just now and then how does Ethereum work, how can we actually verify this? So as I say just now, all the transactions are actually public that is stored in the warehouse. So a block explorer like Etherscan, we will send someone to the warehouse, right? We will actually retrieve all the transactions in the warehouse and then we will display it nicely on a website. So, yeah. So that's a block explorer. It's a website that shows you transactions on the Ethereum network. So currently, if you can see here, So, there's a blog explorer. It's a website that shows you transactions on the Ethereum network. So, currently, if you can see here, there is over a million GrabBike riders working very diligently to secure the Ethereum network. Okay, next. And then, as you can see on the blog explorer page, Ethereum has processed over 2.5 billion transactions over the last nine years. So next, if you go to the blocks page, you can actually see a new block is being created every 12 seconds. Just like how I said, every rider is being chosen at random to process the transactions. And if you pick a block, if you open up a block, you can actually see how many transactions are in there. And if you want to go one level deeper, you can actually see the details of a single transaction, including how much value is being transferred and how much transaction fees do they pay to process this transaction. yang telah dihantar dan berapa banyak keuntungan transaksi yang mereka bayar untuk memproses transaksi ini. Pertama, ia akan menjadi protokol lottery yang tidak terlupa. before, the four use cases, right? So firstly, it will be the no-loss lottery protocol. So how can we actually ensure that what this protocol said is what they actually do? So we can easily just verify this on-chain, whereas this protocol, they have deployed a thing called smart contract. So you just have to read their code on the smart contract and see, okay, if the code looks okay, then you can just interact with it with no issues, right? But if the code is not okay, then you should tell the world about it. Like, hey, be careful of this protocol because it will steal your money. But what if you don't know how to read a code? You don't know how to read smart contract code. So then, no worries. Nowadays, AI is our best friend. So via this tool, Code Reader, you can actually push this smart contract code, feed it to the AI, and then ask simple questions like, hey, what does this smart contract code, feed it to the AI, and then ask simple questions like, hey, what does this smart contract do? And can this smart contract actually steal my money if I deposit into it? Okay, so after you ask this question, the AI will just answer your question accordingly. Okay, so for the second use case that I mentioned, user can actually take out a loan without putting down any collateral. So the name of the game is Flash Loan. So in this single transaction, just one single transaction, look at how many action there is. So, the next question is how do we actually make Ethereum more scalable and more accessible to people like us? For the past few years, the Ethereum community or the ecosystem has actually embarked on a roll-up centric roadmap. When they process transactions, they also have to send a summary of transaction to the layer 1 Ethereum rider network to be verified. So this is the gist of how a layer 2 works. And according to L2Bit, which is a website that actuallyjuan terbaru dalam ekosistem layer 2 di Ethereum. Kami juga mempunyai produk ini have this product called BlockScan Multi-Chain Explorer where you can just input your address and a transaction hash, then it will show you like it will automatically resolve to the chain that you're using. So an example is if you include this transaction hash, then it will know that your transaction is from the scroll layer 2. jika anda mengunakan hash transaksi ini, maka anda akan tahu bahawa transaksi anda berasal dari scroll layer 2 dan jika anda ingin melihat detail penuh transaksi ini, anda boleh pergi ke link di bawah dan melihatnya di scroll scan. Terima kasih. Okay, if there's nothing, then that's all. Thank you. All right, thank you very much, TY.
