## Description

Lukas Schor, co-founder of Safe (formerly Gnosis Safe), joins Pragma Lisbon 2023 to explore the evolution of smart accounts, digital asset custody, and account abstraction in Web3. In this talk, Lukas unpacks the history behind Safe, why secure custody matters more than ever, and how Safe has grown into a modular smart account protocol with over 2.5 million deployments and $70B in assets secured.

He discusses account abstraction, compatibility with ERC-4337, security philosophy, decentralization risks, and the future of user experience in self-custody. Learn about Safe Core, grant opportunities, and what’s next for the future of programmable, modular, and user-friendly Web3 wallets.
