Speaker: Matt Ober of Pinata.cloud

Abstract: Many Ethereum projects are using the Interplanetary File System (IPFS) to manage and store their off-chain data. However, many of these projects struggle to get the speed and stability they need for production.

My talk will teach devs different strategies they can deploy for drastic performance gains in their dApp that results in better end-user experience. This, in turn, will help teams more quickly drive adoption of their dApp.

My experience over the past 2.5 years competing at prior ETHGlobal hackathons, building Ethereum apps, and running an IPFS company used by thousands of Ethereum devs will provide a unique insight into the best practices of handling off-chain data in the space.

This talk was recorded Friday, February 14, 2020.

ETHDenver 2020’s content themes included DeFi; DAOs and Token Engineering (TE); Gaming and Usability; Protocols and Interoperability; and Public Good and Social Impact.

Industry experts also weighed in on topics like decentralization, privacy, identity, non-fungible tokens, scaling, governance, diversity, and arts and culture in blockchain technology.

The 2020 event was February 14-16 in Denver, Colorado and hosted 2000+ blockchain enthusiasts, developers and community members from 50 countries and 50 U.S. states.
