hello everyone my name is my name is Nikita I'm a product manager at block Scout and today I want to share with you our latest Innovations and progress done last couple of months H and uh how blog Scout actually helps you to navigate through the Dark Forest of different Layer Two Solutions account abstractions and data availability layers so let's let's start from Basics uh why do we actually use explorers and why it is so essential for any blockchain first and foremost uh any Explorer helps you with the visibility of your actions on the blockchain it provides you real time and historical access to this data allowing you to visualize and interpret your actions on the blockchain which is basically the bone head of the security so the more visibility you have of your actions of the blockchain actions the more security is more verifiable it is so let's move on okay so the main challenge for blog Scout is and always has been to interpret the complex blockchain data and show it in some kind of convenient uh way for the users for the basic users for the developers and for basically everyone who's researching on chain data they need a convenience vent way to show this stuff in the UI and we strive to keep it consistent and understandable for everyone and thus you know being the good Explorer so current state of the market shows incredible growth of the chain amounts basically each month we have around 100 Main Nets and test Nets being rolled out every month so this kind of growth is can be supported by closed Source explorers in fast flexible and cost-effective Manner and building their own explorers is kind of hard task to perform especially with you know comprehensive amount of features inside it inside of it so we think the better approach would be to have an open source alternative which is easy to use have uniform interface familiar for basically most of the users and uh and easy to be rolled out for your own chain so that's what we're focusing on right now so block Scout is being used for with more than 600 chains and there are numerous reasons why first of all it's open source which means it is customizable and uh secure basically you can verify what's going on under the hood um we support L1 and L2 Solutions with the different rollup families support it right now uh it's easy to configure easy to roll out and our userfriendly interface provide you like with the all necessary functionality to explore your onchain activity also you can host it like by yourself by numerous infrastructure providers or even with us so let's go into the specifics of our developments our main focus was um to support all of the different rollups families and up chains then uh we also made some improvements in data availability uh support and data availability narrative uh also account abstraction is the thing we've been work working on and uh we also support multiple uh name Services protocols ens forks and self-written Protocols are being supported by BL Scout right now and the verif Alliance initiative is something we're going to talk about later on in the presentation so let's dive deeper into that whenever you roll out the Explorer for your rollup you expect some kind of features to be supported other than you know Basics transaction blocks views uh these features include Bridge transactions such as withdrawals and deposits uh they include transaction batches View and indexing which is basically an abstraction over the uh L2 blocks and transactions and most important is any stack change any rollup family change specifications change we have to support and uh well do it in Fast and cost- effective manner for everyone so far BL Scout supports fully supports optimism stack Z KVM stack and arbitrium comes natural comes this summer and theing comes after that so stay tuned subscribe to our newsletter if you want to know more uh we'll be in touch okay so blog Scout is not just a visualization tool it is also an interactive tool and we try to make it as useful as possible for all kind of users starting with a basic dap users we've created dep Scout which is basically a Marketplace for deps on chain which uh greatly improves discoverability of deps especially on Lower value chains uh one of the cool feature of dap Scout is that you can actually interact with these daps through the block Scout interface so the daps are injected through the frame and you can actually do anything you want without leaving the block Scout thus offloading some kind of due diligence to us and also you know making it vulnerable for fishing attacks or anything because you basically still on block Scout so that's cool uh for developers we have numerous features we integrated with multiple uh frame developer Frameworks and well as usual you can visit block Scout to debug or Trace any transaction any event you want anything uh in particular interesting for you we have a number of features supporting the developers we really we really lean to the developer community and listen to your feedback so feel free to join our Discord and Telegram and tell us more about your experience and for the app chains we're actually working on our first uh collaboration with the Redstone team Redstone is a nchain specifically designed uh to work for uh web 3 onchain games and uh this is they have a mod framework which is basically a set of contracts that allows you to interact with the onchain data and store game data within those uh contracts so we try to visualize that and whenever you play a game uh and perform some action in the game or just researching or developing a game we try to show how these actions in-game actions transpose to the blockchain data in a well most convenient way this thing is coming in in a couple of months and you're welcome to try it out as well as a Stone framework itself so okay let's move on uh yeah let's talk about data availability so the consensus layer provides data blobs for execution layer and uh this supports numerous rollups on top of it and what we try to do at the blog Scout is to kind of emulate the structure uh and what that mean is that uh layer 2 block Scout can always access layer one block Scout to get those blobs get the specific piece of data and uh well decode it or uh map it to a certain budge and show it to the user uh one of the specific improvements we've made for EIP 4844 is uh the decoding function which basically tries it attempts to decode whatever there is in Blob and show it to the user the most convenient way uh for example this was some kind of project from Noy team they basically create created a mem feed that allowed you to upload any kind of image in this costeffective blobs and we tried to support this kind of blob usage because well it's mainly used for L2 data being stored on blockchain and this is was kind of fun experiment so we do that now we show you your images Json text what whatever there is in Blob we would attempt to decode it and show it to the end user uh on the account abstraction side uh there's been some developments uh so while it is a service providers uh usually try to abstract away the complexities of blockchain interaction from the user and there is a trade-off with that approach uh being that the less complex it is for the user the more complex the mechan ISM behind those actions and what that means is that basically the data posted on the blockchain is much more harder to understand and interpret so we build a indexer a diff separate microservice uh which is basically can be enabled in any block Scout which will allow you to index user operations based on EIP 43 37 uh and it supports uh both of its versions for the moment but we we strive to you know keep in touch and uh employ any update there is and uh this basically looks like that and our idea was our main idea was is to show this user operations in the familiar fashion like uh the like the transactions itself so and the challenge here was to part the actual transactions which might contain multiple user operations it might contain uh entry point contact interactions whatever there is and we brush this off away and uh try to model and map this structure to the similar model as a transaction in the database which allows us to show it in the similar fashion which is more convenient for the user because basically for them when they use user account abstraction wallet it's still a transaction and we strive to keep it that way to keep all the basics like token transfers logs uh accessible for the end user so if you're connected to any AA wallet feel free to use blog Scout as your main Explorer okay so let's talk about verifier Alliance uh one of the most praised features by the developers in the block Scout uh has been ethereum bite code database and this microservice basically allows developers to verify their contracts once uh and then the same contracts deployed on other chains uh with the block Scouts will be automatically verified later on which is seemed very convenient and uh very good way to approach contract verification but the problem with that was that only block Scout supported this workflow so we kind of started this verifier Lin initiative uh we brought in a lot of infrastructure providers uh different explorers different uh contract verification providers and uh well use this QR code to uh to connect with us there'll be much more talks about verify lines this summer especially Inc but basically this is the thing that will allow you universally verify your contract on most of the infrastructure providers in the future well at this this is our way this is our vision of the uh verification process and our way to share this information we have with other infrastructure providers and uh I want to finalize this presentation with the idea that uh blog Scout is uh block out strives to support decentralization as much as possible we want to to be one of the multiple blockchain explorers we want to see a lot more more than what we have right now want to support decentralization in every possible way and for that we try to incentivize chains for using block Scouts and other explorers we actually try to uh even for daps we try to let them use multiple explorers to allow you know more transparent access to the data and um we are announcing the points program which will uh come this year uh we try to bring more people to blog Scout interface to show them how it works and uh incentivize them to use blog Scout and see that it is a convenient and sophisticated tool to work with so keep in touch please join our telegram uh join our Discord group and uh well ask me anything if there is something to ask [Applause] no okay I guess everything was super clear thank you very much for this great lecture
