## Description

In this insightful fireside chat from Pragma London 2024, Chainlink co-founder Sergey Nazarov sits down with Kartik Talwar of ETHGlobal to explore the evolving role of oracles, cross-chain communication, and the long-term vision for Web3 infrastructure. Sergey discusses Chainlink’s origin, powering DeFi’s exponential growth, the rise of Proof of Reserve and real-world data feeds, and the launch of CCIP (Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol).

He shares a compelling vision where every bank and asset manager operates their own L2, interconnected through secure oracle networks, with Ethereum at the core. This is a must-watch for builders, founders, and anyone curious about the convergence of capital markets and decentralized systems, real-world assets (RWAs), and how to make Web3 usable, trusted, and inevitable.

ETHGlobal's Pragma series takes place in cities around the world, and is designed to be a different kind of event. Pragma is a one-stage conference with founders-only on stage, bringing together a small group of curated attendees and speakers to discuss the future of web3 and reflect on the past. Ever since we first introduced our new event series Pragma in Tokyo of the spring of 2023, we have been fostering a curated, global community of individuals who deeply care about web3.
