Panagiotis Kakalis makes the case for building a World App Mini this weekend and shows how fast it is to ship one. He explains the World ecosystem (World App, World ID, proof-of-personhood via the Orb), why Mini Apps matter (distribution to 20M+ users, notifications, contacts, payments, gas sponsorship), and how the MiniKit SDK lets you gate features to verified humans and whitelist contracts for safe transactions. The live demo covers setting up a Mini App in the Developer Portal, using the Next.js template, tunneling with ngrok, scanning the QR in World App, verifying users, receiving payments, and enabling sponsored transactions. Q&A touches review/moderation, differences from Farcaster “mini” apps, hosting (Vercel/IPFS/any URL), and design tips to leverage World ID.
