## Description

Kevin Padilla, CTO of EVBN and founder of Matalabs, introduces the fundamentals of EVVM (Enhanced Virtual Virtual Machine)—a customizable, permission-based virtual blockchain that operates on top of an existing host chain like Ethereum or Arbitrum. This workshop walks beginners through how EVVM leverages smart contracts to create virtual blockchains with unique states and functions, while inheriting the host chain’s security and connections.

Kevin demonstrates the GitHub structure for EVBN projects, including key repos such as testnet contracts, name service, and staking, and explains how to use pre-deployed contracts on Sepolia testnet. He then dives into practical transactions, covering payment functions, nonce mechanisms (synchronous vs. asynchronous), and the use of executors to securely authorize and execute transactions. The session concludes with examples of transaction validation, nonce protection, and how EVVM ensures replay safety and role-restricted execution.
