Abstract: Public goods (clean air, open source software, sanitation, schools, national defense) benefit all members of society.  As we move from an industrial world where public goods were primarily funded by coercive taxation, to an information age, what does the future hold for public goods funding? In this talk, Gitcoin founder Kevin Owocki will explore Gitcoin's mission to Grow & Sustain Open Source software using Ethereum & programmable money, and the possibilities for public goods funding in the information age.
