Okay. Hey guys. Uh, so my name is Tanya and I work as a business dev in web free security company. That's why I'm doing quite a lot of outreach and yeah just to know the audience how many technical people we have there. Can you raise your hands? Okay. Uh, I see like more like business marketing people. I see that you're like marketing or some business. >> Okay. >> Communication. >> Communication. Okay. Anyway, um so that's nice. Um and uh yeah, so I will speak actually about how to use Telegram in a way that it saves you time and also maybe helps you to organize your information that you have there in a more efficient way. Okay. Yeah, that's the plan. Um so I will start with more organizational uh tips. Uh first I actually when I go to the conferences uh there are like so many people I talk with and then it's uh like all the chats in telegram become very crowded and sometimes I can miss some important information and um so right from the beginning I was splitting my telegram on different folders like web free I don't know connects or like there was an image okay anyway so I was splitting it in different folders like to regarding my interests like I don't know psychology I know relocation whatever it is and also web free connects and different uh and different events but then I realized that even uh if I split it like this it's still kind of hard so I started to do like a folder called like important so when I talk to some person with who I can potentially have some good business cooperation later or just we agreed on something specific I even created like a folder called important and then I check it every now and then. Um the other part is uh so I think many of you probably use it but saved messages in telegram it's basically your chat with yourself. So for me it's very useful I can send some information from other chat there or I can also add hashtags to some messages I sent there and then look easier for new information. And also what I really liked telegram is this calendar that you can use. So when you go to the any chart and you click on the date uh then there is a calendar opening and you can go to basically any date uh in this chat history and if you remember that I don't know maybe your friend send you some information about some event or where you going to meet around some dates and you easily go there and you find it and you don't need to just ask the person again oh okay I saw how it works that's how like folders Look, so basically that's not all of them, but yeah. Okay. Uh, now about the like smart messaging and stuff like that. So I do use delayed messages sometime especially if let's say I have like a call scheduled for I don't know the next day and I need to uh notify again like all the people who going to be on a call that they're going to have it going to happen then I just schedule it just the the day I'm like know about this call and then they get the notification and I don't forget about it. It's also if you I don't know a bisdev a communication lead you can not only schedule the message for a specific time but also sometimes you are scheduling a message for um time when the user gets online so basically the person gets online and he has your message on the top of his all the chats but again I don't know I think some deaths can be annoying and you don't want to read all the spam they are sending sometimes so actually you can go to the uh settings bar and then you can make um in the privacy and security section in the setting bar you can make that all the new chats from leads from people with who you don't have the interaction before they go to the archived so I don't know if you are tired of messages from some unknown users you can just archive all the chats from the new users via settings um what else okay yeah that you can also search uh either all of your chats or you can go to a specific specific chart and search within it for specific words or like if you take it in commas like some phrase you remember they said you can find the specific phrase uh which I also use uh if I I don't know there is some database with contacts and they mentioned something so yeah also I think pins do work and I like pins in telegram because you can not only pin information for yourself uh not only for everybody in the chat but just for yourself. So again, I have sometimes friends who are sending me some crypto learning materials or something and um they just send it to me. They don't want I mean they gave it to me. They not going to learn it themselves and then I just pinned it for myself and then I go to the chat. I can go to this links and uh yes I don't have the unnecessary information pinned or you can pin for everybody basically. Um yeah. Oh yeah. Okay. So since I work in a security company, I try to be more secure even though I think I'm far away from these auditor guys that we have and uh with all their uh very privacy focused um personalities but I still do some things to protect myself and Instagram you can turn on like twostep verification. uh and that's what I would actually suggest everybody to do because it's easy and then it's uh your I don't know Telegram profile is way uh more difficult to get hacked or something. You can also have some privacy features there like hide your last scene, hide your profile photo from non-contexts, bio information from non-contexts. Um yeah and you also can restrict who can message you actually to this one I will return later. Uh and uh one other feature you can disable forward link. So sometimes we all can forward messages from the contacts that we have to I don't know other chats and if you disable this link then people can't go like just tap on this message and then go to your profile. They just see your name and that's it. Um oh yeah okay. uh I don't know if you know that but there is actually without a feature where you can uh read the message without let's say opening it and read lots of messages that got sent to you. Do you know about that? I think like many Russians should know about that. I don't know. No. Well, anyway, so if uh you have lots of messages, you don't know when to open the chat and for some reason you don't want to read it. just funny in my opinion. You can just do a long tap on the user profile and then you can there is like a window opens you can scroll all the messages read it but it's not had read receipt um yeah okay uh about wait yeah just lit sourcing uh I don't know like uh I mostly like to do more like warm outreach of course I don't like uh doing this cold outreach but if I need to do that I basically go to telegram groups of different defi protocols or projects uh with which I want to speak and then I can just uh search for the members and just name the protocol name put there in the search bar like I don't know a whatever it is and then there can be some leads from the team and I can maybe try to talk to them so yeah okay uh now about b saved messages and uh as I already mentioned your saved messages it's like a personal CRM on telegram it's also there in saved messages meages. You can also use delayed messages as a reminders. So, I don't know, I just pinned my saved messages actually very like on the top of my charts and then uh I use it sometimes as a reminders. So, like in uh I just uh make a delayed message in the save messages and then someday it just pops up and I see that okay I need to do this. Um there are also different bots that are available on telegram and uh for example there can be bots with governance alerts. There's also like uh for example a bot called defy mon alerts. It monitors many protocols and if there is some uh I don't know governance change or potent potential for the hack they send these alerts and bots and I know that many actually defy projects use also sometimes the bots for some alerts or something like that. And again about organization, you can always add hashtags to your messages and then you can find all the messages with this hashtag which can be useful if you I don't know maybe tell your team some tasks and then you have this group chat you can do hashtag tasks or something and then you can find all the tasks you gave throughout I don't know a month a week whatever it is um yeah okay so about power features I actually suggest best to follow maybe these accounts like Telegram, Durov or Premium if you have a Telegram premium because they have features like very new features very often and then they pause there these small videos about new feature and you can just check them sometimes to find if something useful and uh yeah I think it's all posted in a very easy way like very good user experience they just small video how something works uh also what I like actually this feature to translate posts and messages. So if your telegram like language of the app is English then if you go to any group and there is like some messages not in English or any channel it automatically suggests you to translate it. It's both in desktop version and in the mobile version. In mobile you just need to click on the message and then there will be like option to translate and I think in desktop it's just on the like up uh upper part of the chart there is an option to translate uh yeah also also what I like about actually I think that's the next slide oh no this slide okay telegram premium that you can translate audio messages that can send to you in the text so voice to speech translation And it's I don't know it translates quite well almost never I had any problems with it and sometimes if somebody I don't know sends you a long audio message which I hopes don't happen but then you can use this auto translate function or I mean voice to text to translation. Yeah, this is just some features that are maybe not that useful but I personally like and I feel like now like I'm shing telegram premium but I really don't. At least they don't pay me. Uh but I do like animated images that they have and I put some of them there. There's some Bitcoin salon and just some cute cats. Anyway, uh so yeah, with Telegram premium you can send these images and uh it's just nice. I I don't know. I like it. Uh and also if you like some uh you need to somehow promote your pro your project then if you have premium you can post some stories on Telegram. So I don't know especially I've seen it with some bisdevs if they go to some conference they also put the stories I don't know their pictures that they and some words that they're going to this conference so if you want to catch catch up there we we can do that um yeah also about like messages uh so as I said sometimes I think for crypto people there are lots of chats and lots of messages from not that relevant people in uh telegram and what they actually created now is that you can charge with TG stars the ability to message you. So I haven't seen many people use it but I did seen some people and so actually if you have premium you can go and you can only allow like non-contexts to message you for by paying telegram stars. So I don't know how this feature going to work but at least it tried to monetize uh like many things in telegram with tg stars. So maybe at some point. Yeah. So I think that's it. Uh and uh thank you for your attention. If you have any questions, I will be more happy Yeah. to answer. Thank you. [Applause] Okay. Yeah, you can you can start it. Oh, somebody somebody's coming. >> Hi. >> Hi. >> Thank you for the presentation. I have a question. Uh because Telegram is let's say the protocol is open. How did you use any other clients that are using the same protocol? So for example for for client or something else because it can use the same protocol communication protocol to work. So it's just the client on the phone. >> So do I use uh other apps with telegram like? >> Yes. Yes. Because it's an open protocol. So any application can use the same protocol to send messages. >> Oh yeah. Okay. Um I think if something that I use with telegram there was something called uh at some point all in one messenger. So I don't know if you have many uh telegram accounts and actually on telegram like with in one app you can have maximum I think five accounts and if you have more uh there was something called all-in-one messenger where you can actually open you have this one app but you can open like I don't know 20 telegram accounts you can also open some WhatsApp account there and that's always in one app that's the app I used at some point okay uh is there any other questions. Okay. Um I think anyway I'm like short on time probably now. So yeah, I can finish and thank you for the for your attention and for the question. Thank you.
