## Description

Sarah Thiam, founder of PhilB and former Protocol Labs developer experience lead, introduces the upcoming Filecoin Onchain Cloud, a sovereign, decentralized cloud infrastructure built on the Filecoin network. Leveraging Filecoin’s established decentralized storage, cryptographic proofs (PoR, PDP), and EVM-compatible smart contract layer, the Onchain Cloud aims to provide a modular, programmable marketplace for cloud services, including storage, compute, and networking (with a working CDN, Filecoin Beam).

The platform will support stablecoin payments (USDFC), SLA-native payment contracts (Filecoin Pay), and enable developers to build and deploy services easily via SDKs like Synapse. The flagship offering, Filecoin Warm Storage Service, is already live and will be fully launched at Devcon in November, with hackathons and community engagement planned. The initiative seeks to decentralize cloud control, reduce costs, and invite partners and builders to expand the ecosystem.
