This is easier. I can read from here. Is it good? Are the levels good? Can everyone hear me right now? Okay. Thank you. Thank you for coming. I guess there's going to be some feedback from the speakers. If that's the case, I'll Is it It's fine. Okay. Hi, welcome to the Bitcoin mini event. It's really amazing that we can have a Bitcoin event in the middle of an Ethereum conference because as far as I'm aware, there is no Ethereum event in the middle of Bitcoin conferences. So maybe that we can find a compromise for the BTC 2026 event in Las Vegas or whatever. give our Ethereum brothers the chance to present what they can do for Bitcoin. Because honestly, if you walk into this venue and you see that expo which was done by Bob Summerwell, who is here in the audience, you're going to realize that there's a lot of intersection between early Ethereum and Bitcoin. And these projects were supposed to be siblings. Ethereum itself started out as a Bitcoin 2.0 project. At the time in 2014, a lot of people were trying to bring new use cases for Bitcoin to make it more useful. And Ethereum just happened to be the project that was most successful from that whole roster of projects like Mastercoin, like NXT, Counterparty. We're going to have one of the creators of Counterparty on stage here in like 30 minutes or something. His name is Adam Krellinstein and maybe he can tell us more about this. But my point is that there was always in the beginning a friendship between Bitcoin and Ethereum and it only became toxic in later years when there was a sense of competition when Ethereum started talking about the flippening and an event where they're going to have by virtue of onboarding a lot a lot of users they're going to have also higher market cap. that thing never happened. But I think today there are a lot of bridges that are being built. And I don't mean metaphorically bridges. I mean developers working on stuff that allows you to move your Bitcoin to Ethereum to Rapid to do DeFi stuff or bridges that let you swap your Ethereum for Bitcoin in a trust minimized way. And I really like the BitVM stuff that's happening. And there are a bunch of projects right now like Citraa and Alpen Labs which are trying to bring the EVM. Hi >> Alpen Labs. We have Alpin right here and Citra in the back. That's really cool. So you are trying to bring the EVM functionality directly to Bitcoin with a rollup which is really amazing. I don't think we could have had this if it wasn't for Ethereum. And it's sort of unfortunate that the communities became so tribal that they don't talk to each other. But it's beautiful to see the people who have come here today and have a lot of stuff to say about making this cippher punk utopia happen because this is what it's always been about. Just being able to transact without anyone's permission. Being able to benefit from banking like services without actual banks. trying to replace in institutions altogether and if we can get rich off of it that's just like a nice side effect but that's not like the ultimate end goal of this technology in the next section I will talk about the presentations that we'll be having there's going to be zks on bitcoin with tong lie who is here she's one of the three co-founders of the ideal project which is building very interesting technology using garble Circuit and BitVM the third version of it and she's going to get on stage with David soy and Ilia Wol and they're all here and miked up and ready to go. There is going to be another presentation that's called making Bitcoin quantum resistant and that's a big topic. Hunterbeast and Isabelle Fox and Duke and Alex Prudin are going to get on stage to talk about this. It's sort of the hottest topic in Bitcoin right now and I sort of have a controversial take on it because these signatures that give us quantum resistance are large larger in size which means that the transactions will be bigger which means that the block space occupied by these transactions will be higher which means that it will be more expensive to use Bitcoin. So it makes sense at least in my mind to retain the same degree of scalability that we have today and increase the block size. I'm gonna hide behind this before someone throws tomatoes or eggs at me. Yeah, increase the block size to keep the current scaling of Bitcoin. Then there is a talk about Bitcoin native DeFi, the future of meta protocols. That one is going to be hosted by Adam Krellinstein, one of the free co-founders of Counterparty, which is like proto Ethereum from lots of points of view. It could do tokens. It could pay dividends to shareholders and decentralized companies. And it's just so cool. Like I'm sorry that counterparty was not more successful, but I think the the ultimate use case for it was rare Pepes. Does anyone here have rare Pepes? You have rare Pepes. That's great. We should trade some. And last but not least, there are two more presentations. This one is called Scaling Bitcoin, the future of L2s with Alysia Painter and Liam Egan and another one that's called BitVM free, our garbled circuits, the key to scale. And Robin Lennis is going to take the stage for this main event. Thank you for coming. I hope you're going to enjoy the talks. And without further ado, I'm gonna give the floor to the speakers for the ZKPs on Bitcoin panel and they are Ing Tong Li, David Ceroy, Ilia Volo, and the moderator is Keegan Mleland. I hope I pronounced this correctly. Is that correct? Mleland. Meland. >> Mland. Okay, I'll hand you the microphone, guys. Enjoy.
