## Description

A conversation with Alan Ransil, co-founder of Devonian, known for its product Cherty. Alan explores how Web3 data management tools are transforming scientific research, making it easier to reproduce results, ensure data integrity, and connect research to real-world impact.

He discusses the challenges of the scientific process—how data is collected, analyzed, and validated—and how decentralized science (DeSci) is addressing these issues. Alan also reflects on the evolution of Earth Commons within Funding the Commons and the growing momentum behind preserving both ecological and digital commons for future generations.

Produced by Funding the Commons in Bangkok, November 2024.
