## Description

Join Jesse Pollak, creator of Base and a leader at Coinbase, as he breaks down the story behind launching Base—Coinbase’s Ethereum L2 chain—and his bold vision for the future of the onchain internet. In this fireside at Pragma Paris 2023, Jesse shares the inside story of how Base came to life, why Coinbase chose to build on the OP Stack, and how decentralization, open-source collaboration, and user-centric design will bring the next billion users onchain.

Learn how Coinbase is connecting its 100M+ users to Web3, how Base plans to grow the onchain economy through better onboarding, interoperability, and developer-first infrastructure—and why Jesse believes we’re about to enter the steepest adoption curve crypto has ever seen.
