Speaker: Bob Summerwill of ETC Cooperative

Abstract: ETC hit #10 in Coin Market Cap a couple of days back (now at #14, but still ahead of Tezos, Dash, Cosmos, NEO, Maker, ZCash, Algorand) onchainfx more accurate data and still a fairly similar story. $1B market cap and in the big leagues now. It's not "little brother" anymore. Not "protest coin with no developers". We successfully hard-forked Constantinople opcodes a few days back and are VERY ETH compatible now. ETC Coop are supporting the Vyper team where the EF did not. ETC Coop contributed EtherCluster to Hyperledger Labs. ETC Coop working with various teams on LLVM-based alternative compiler toolings. DAppNode just announced ETC support (we did not even ask them). Discussions starting with many project teams about ETC support. The promise is turning into reality.

This talk was recorded Friday, February 14, 2020.

ETHDenver 2020’s content themes included DeFi; DAOs and Token Engineering (TE); Gaming and Usability; Protocols and Interoperability; and Public Good and Social Impact.
