The top 3 winning games shared $17,500 in cash prizes sponsored by the Colorado Lottery + $8,500 in LINK Web3 Bonus Prizes, sponsored by Chainlink. Web3 is an evolution to the underlying infrastructure of the Internet where applications run on decentralized networks. It allows peer-to-peer services, data ownership by users, and minimized trust. With respect to games, blockchain technology can be beneficial for: identity, authentication, provable fairness, provable randomness, digital assets, etc. Submissions could include any aspect of web3 technology in their game submission, however, but did not have to demonstrate a “fully decentralized” game.
