Decentralized storage networks use different mechanisms to distribute rewards among participants. A caveat is that rewards are often disproportionally concentrated in the hands of a small number of participants, i.e., early adopters or highly-resourced participants. We notice many design decisions, often poorly understood, can impact in the effectiveness of reward mechanisms.
