This talk explores how central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) can leverage zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) and Ethereum to create privacy-centric monetary systems. We'll examine how ZKPs enable robust AML/CTF compliance while preserving user privacy, discuss the benefits of Ethereum deployment for financial inclusion and innovation, and showcase how these technologies could revolutionize digital currency design.
Suzana Moreno leads blockchain strategy and a set of humanitarian projects at the WFP/UN Innovation Accelerator. She co-founded the Blockchain Lab at the Brazilian Development Bank in 2017, where she developed decentralized solutions to increase trust and transparency of the bank. She is also pursuing a PhD at the University of Geneva, focusing on innovative solutions for KYC/AML and decentralized apps/DeFi.
