How to Deploy on Fluence Cloudless Compute

Thu, Oct 2, 2025, 12:00 AM

Alex Pashinski, an engineer at Fluence, introduces Fluence Cloudless Compute—a decentralized, Web3-focused cloud platform designed to address issues like vendor lock-in, high costs, censorship, and lack of transparency found in traditional cloud providers (e.g., AWS). Fluence offers affordable, location-flexible virtual servers with no vendor lock-in, supporting custom hardware and images. The platform currently supports CPU-based VMs, with containers, GPUs, and managed services on the roadmap. Alex demonstrates deploying VMs via the web UI and API, highlighting features like custom images, multi-location support, and API automation. He discusses hackathon bounties for best AI use, reusable images, and multi-chain staking optimizations. Audience Q&A covers abuse handling, dynamic deployment, migration, and credit allocation. Fluence provides $20 credits for hackathon participants, with support available via Discord and at their booth. 00:00 Introduction 00:32 Problems with Traditional Cloud Providers 01:30 Key Features of Fluence Cloudless Compute 02:22 Hackathon Bounties and Use Cases 04:08 Live Demo: Deploying on Fluence via Web UI 06:05 Using the Fluence API for Deployment 07:26 Multiple VM Deployment and Hackathon Credits 08:34 Support and Q&A Introduction 09:12 Abuse Handling and Security 10:20 Dynamic Deployment and Migration Roadmap 12:04 Credits and Resource Allocation 13:00 Closing Remarks _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 🇫🇷 *ETHGlobal Cannes* This workshop is specifically for ETHGlobal Cannes, a 3-day hackathon held July 4-6, bringing together the most skilled web3 developers, designers and product builders from all around the globe for a weekend-long adventure to advance the Ethereum ecosystem!
