No, I don't want to. Okay. Okay. We are going to start with the closing. Did you have a good time?

More. More. [screaming] More. Did you like Argentina?

Did you like connect.

Well, call your friends who are still around Laral, walking around Laral because we arrived to the end of the week. A long week. I hope you enjoy as much as us. And yeah, and this is the end of the first Ethereum warfare. So, congratulation for being here.

And I want to invite Natan to the stage who is the lead of Dev Connect. A round of applause for him. [cheering] [applause] All right. It's a lot of people here. It's amazing to see.

Thank you so much for coming on a Saturday night after a six day streak of uh events of like uh what else? Of the fair testing applications roaming around. It's amazing to see. So, thank you so much. Hope you're not too tired because uh we're going to have a nice happy hour.

Oh, I have some uh eco here. All right. Um so, yeah, hope you had a blast this week. Um it's been probably the most intense week of my life, I have to say. Uh [cheering]

and uh not a lot of sleep. Um not only myself, but the whole team. So about that I would like to invite the team to the stage but team by team. So first of all um so I want to introduce you to the team that made this event a reality. We have condu on stage uh who knows Kandu.

[cheering]

All right. Big up to Kandu. She's she's been uh uh doing a lot of amazing things uh roaming around Argentina to meet everyone. And this is why uh we have 50% of attendees that are from Argentina that attended the event, which is by the way the biggest EF event ever. So big up to you.

[cheering]

So we had about 20,000 ticket claim. Um more than 14,000 people checked in at the venue. So we broke the record of last Defcon. So super happy about that. Yeah.

[cheering] Um 50% of these people were from Argentina. Amazing. Amazing. A lot of students. Um a lot of Spanish speakers.

We had this stage right here um where we had universities all over Argentina coming and teaching about Ethereum. I mean it's amazing. Um also we had we distributed more than a thousand visa to people all around the globe that normally are blocked from uh attending our events. So very very happy about this. Our team did an amazing effort.

So yeah thank you. Thank you. Um all right so I wanted to take the mic also to make sure that you meet the team and that we thank the team like uh it is due. So first of all I would like to invest to the stage uh the production team please production team. [cheering] [applause] So here we have Agus from Argentina and Winnie from Thailand.

[cheering] We have Hana. Thank you. The production team is doing all the everything that you see on the ground. The production team did it. So everything that is physical uh all your food you had [cheering] like [applause] all the security uh you've been safe thanks to to them uh the place is kept clean thanks to them um so yeah amazing amazing work um second I would like to call the AV team if they're not playing with live stream right

[cheering]

Pablo and Carl Caris. [cheering and applause] Massive congrats to them. All the live streams, the recording, the stages, uh the setup, the electricity, the Wi-Fi. What? [applause] Yeah, that was probably Anyways, uh but no, Pablo learned a lot about Wi-Fi.

This is not He's not responsible. They fixed a lot of So, thanks to him, we had some Wi-Fi. Uh, so that was amazing. Um, electricity as well. If you ever charge your phone into the venue, that's also thanks to him somehow.

Um, all right. So, that was AV coms. Can you please come? We have Emily that is leading coms for not only Dev Connect here, but [cheering] also for the EF uh with Rose. Rose has been leading coms remotely and Nikki doing some amazing work on the community management side.

Uh because I see you uh all righting team please. All right, Adam. If you ever attended a Dev Corner, Defcon connect, you've seen Adam for sure. Yakub and Ligi, there are our faces. The first line of developer they've built the app.

I think the best app we ever had for an event. Um, yeah. Uh, they've built payments for the venue so you could pay with crypto. They did all the integration with ENS, with Peanut, with Zapper, with what am I forgetting? A lot of them.

Par also like they built the whole app, the map, all the information. Um, so they they did they did an amazing job also the website and a lot of things. Uh, Arnella. All right. Arnella has been amazing.

[applause] [cheering]

So she was the mother of that connect in a way because she managed like 300 volunteers. So amazing amazing work. [applause and cheering] Um [applause] and for the volunteers raise your hand please. If you were a volunteer raise your hand. Raise your hand.

Raise your hand. [cheering and applause] Massive massive thanks for the volunteers. Uh it would not be possible without you. Uh you're an essential part of the event. You've done so much and it would not be possible without you.

Thank you so much. If you see a hat, uh it's the volunteers hat. Please don't steal from the volunteers. They're very nice. But uh this is the the reward of being a volunteer.

Um all right. Thank you so much for volunteers. I see Heather from the supporters team. [cheering] [applause] Heather has been instrumental in creating the World's Fair, curating and approving and doing all the stuff that you've seen in the grill pavilion. If you tried an app, it's because Heather worked in uh getting this app on the ground and so amazing amazing work.

Um we have Tommo as well. Tommo. [applause and cheering] Tommo, our lead artist, creative. Um, if you see if you find anything beautiful inside the venue is probably thanks to Tommo. All the designs, the visuals, the the arts.

Uh, that's that's thanks to him. [applause and cheering] Um, we're also missing a critical person, uh, Natalyia. She had to leave earlier for personal reasons. So, for Natalia, please give a big up.

[cheering] [applause]

Um yeah, she had to leave for a personal reason, but she she's a lead production. [snorts] She held this event on her shoulders for many many time and had to leave earlier. So emotional, but uh yeah. [applause] [cheering] All right. And so that's about it for the team.

Uh That's me. [cheering] All right. And so for the team, big up, please. Massive round of applause for the team once again. Once again, please.

[applause and cheering] We also have Joe from PR. Yay.

All right, team. Now is the time.

Yes.

Is it time? All right. So, bamos, we freeze the stage. We give the space for the for the screen improv. [cheering and applause]

All right. Um, are we ready for the announcement?

What is the announcement going to be?

Do I press the button? All right. Yeah. Wait.

All right. Wait. There's going to be a drum roll. Get ready. All right.

So, the next Slowly, slowly, slowly, slowly. No, not too hard. Slow, slow, slow. All right. So, I won't bother you too long.

The next No, let's do it again. Next Defcon. It is about Next Defcon. Where do you guys think it will be? Okay, if you think it's going to be in South America again, raise your hand.

[cheering]

Central America.

All right. Where are the Mexicans? Um,

Mexico. North America. All right. All right. Uh,

Africa.

All right.

Asia. [cheering]

All right. Let's see. Drum roll, please.

When should I press?

When should I? And then it's good.

All right. So, the next Defcon is going to be in Does that work? Drum roll. [music] India.

[cheering]

All right. So, we are very very very excited to reveal the new location for Defcon. It's going to be it's going to happen next year uh the fourth quarter of next year uh about the same time as this year um in India. It's going to happen in Mumbai and we are extremely excited to host this event here. We came to Argentina because um it is one of the country with the most the biggest crypto adoption in the world.

You have people that use crypto on a daily basis and and it's it is a country where people can come and we've worked hard for people to come there. India will be a different story but it is also the country where you have the biggest amount of developers the crypto developers uh you have the biggest crypto adoption in the world. Um it is massive and also the growth potential is tremendous. uh we I we believe that Ethereum can can help people's lives and and it can grow only uh it can grow a lot from there. Um so we're extremely extremely excited to bring Defcon to India.

It's going to be in Mumbai. It's going to be amazing. [cheering]

It's going to be different. Uh it's going to be different for sure. I think we created something unique in Argentina, but it is going to be amazing. So, book your book your Q4. It's a lot of months, but book it.

Um, [laughter] and yeah, with that, uh, I wanted to invite the stage a few people that helped us along the way, that helped us making this decision that helped us to get connected to the right people, start like get a feeling of the community and uh, yeah. So please to the stage Denver and Nidi um to say a few words. So please welcome. [applause]

All right. I'm just going to take a moment to take this in. All right. Uh cool. I'm I'm I'm so excited.

I I barely can speak but uh I'm going to try nevertheless. Uh so so the Ethereum India story started some somewhere around 2016. Uh there was a lot of excitement in uh India around 2018. We decided to start off with a small spark uh called ETH India and uh that was just a 200 person hackathon uh and a conference and finally we are here uh after uh after if my math serves me right uh after after 8 years we we are finally here uh in Argentina ready to ready to welcome the next DevCon uh to Mumbai in India. [cheering] Uh I think I speak on behalf of all of the Indians here that we are like delirious with excitement.

Uh um uh and um you know it's um no it's a once in a lifetime opportunity to bring home this energy that we've seen here. So palpable, so so pulsating and like visceral that's been here over the past seven days. And we are so excited to bring it back to India to Mumbai which is also my birth city. And uh [cheering] and uh you know we have seen firsthand the hard work that Nathan and his team have put into this to create this magic. So I just want to say that both Denver and I on behalf of the Ethereum community in India are ready and willing to give our heart, blood, soul, sweat, whatever it takes to bring this magic home and to you know keep intact the infectious energy of the Argentinian people and give it an Indian twist.

So we are so excited. So bat and we welcome you to India next year and get ready to replace the mate with some Mumbai cutting chai. Okay. [cheering] Yeah. Chak India.

[screaming]

Thank you so much. Thank you so much. We have Okay. We have All right. We have just one more person.

Uh, a lot of a lot of people probably heard of him this week. Uh, it's been amazing to welcome him. He's amazing. He's uh um, no introduction needed. Please come to stage.

He's Tru. You probably seen him on social. [cheering and applause] Say a few words.

First of all, I thank the Dev Connect team for hosting this wonderful event. And uh before anything I want to thank the team for providing the AV without that I wouldn't able to attend this event. Without that uh like navigating the visa situation for Argentina for uh someone from country like India with lesser passport rank that would be like incredibly difficult and I've seen like others from similar passport situation able to make it to Argentina only to this AV. So I'm incredibly grateful for that. Without that I wouldn't be able to land here.

And when I landed I posted a picture and it's got mixed reaction to put it lightly. But uh the reaction from the people I've met in the local builders or local communities and uh uh the people I met in offline the response I received it's all matters and that's how that's all uh like matters for now and it's been an incredible reception I've received in offline people uh the community the response they are providing for the and as well as the hospitality they offered and of like for the last two weeks the experience been incredible and unforgettable. And I'll really thank for all the hospitality and being really welcoming for me. It's it's really uh a great experience and it's all the hater is all just online and showed that like the online and offline will be differ and in people in real is really like welcoming, warm and friendly. So I really want to thank for that.

[cheering] [applause] And uh here come the important part. So Mumbai, India host the next Devcon connect and I want to like offer the same hospitality to everyone and uh India have a thriving dev community with like lot of regional communities and um one of the biggest hackathons being held in India which is eat India by uh like uh Devolio. So I'm looking forward to see you all in India next year. [cheering] [applause]

Thank you so much.

All right. Thank you so much. Final words by Kondu. Uh and yeah, Denver, you want to come as well? But yeah, I'll give you back the mic.

Thank you so much. Enjoy and uh yeah, see you next year as well.

Before end, I want a new round of applause to Natan for all his effort. He's a great lead. And now come here Indian community to take a photo with the flag and again and also the team. Natan stay here. Let's take a photo with them.

I can't We know there are many more many many more. We go.

Let's go Mumbai. [cheering]

Thanks. Thanks. And see you everyone next year in Mumbai. And don't forget check the application the correct application because we have seven more than 72 winners of the district. So check the app and if you are one of the winners you can get your G gift in this booth and yeah let's celebrate together and thanks for be part of the first Ethereum warfare.
