Curious about simplifying cross-L2 payments and multi-chain user experiences? Join DC Posch, co-founder of a DAO, as he unveils intent addresses—a new Ethereum primitive that lets users accomplish arbitrary actions across different networks with a single transfer. Discover how Create2, escrow contracts, and minimal bridging steps eliminate confusing flows, reduce counterparty risk, and streamline DeFi interactions. Learn how to enable fast finish on cross-chain transactions, explore real-world demos (like prediction markets and hardware wallet orders), and see how these ideas could become a future ERC for broader adoption. Topics Covered: • Chain fragmentation & the push for a “one Ethereum” experience • Universal accounts, 4337, and the inspiration behind intent addresses • Bridging with CCTP and adding escrow for faster settlements • Real-world demos on Base, Optimism, and more • Bonus: Gasless transactions, permit flows, and self-destruct for ephemeral contracts • Stay tuned to discover how these concepts reshape UX for multi-chain payments, enabling an interoperable future with fewer pop-ups, less friction, and maximum flexibility. 00:00 Introduction & Welcome 00:53 The L2 Fragmentation Problem 01:26 Universal Accounts & Create2 Overview 03:09 Introducing Intent Addresses 04:55 Single Transfer to Trigger Any Action 05:59 UX Benefits & Fewer Pop-Ups 07:21 Towards a “One Ethereum” Vision 08:03 Demo: Bridging & Chain Abstraction 09:43 Handling Slow Bridges with CCTP 10:52 Using Escrow Contracts for Fast Finish 11:32 Comparing Non-Custodial vs. Trusted Relayers 12:16 Real Deployments & Game Demo 13:38 Hardware Wallet Pre-Order Example 14:25 Minimizing Wallet Popups on Mobile 15:01 Gasless Transactions & Permit Flows 15:38 Future ERC & Progressive UX 16:09 Self-Destruct for Ephemeral Contracts 17:11 Conclusion & Final Thoughts _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 🎤 *Pragma Bankgkok* Pragma Bangkok 2024 closed out a year of exceptional Pragma events held around the world, and offered the global Web3 community a chance to hear from founders and builders as they reflect on the past, and look to the future of Web3.
