Greg Skril I Build Identity In Your Apps With ENS I ETHGlobal Taipei 2025

Thu, Oct 2, 2025, 12:00 AM

Learn how to integrate Ethereum Name Service (ENS) into your applications in this ETHGlobal Taipei 2025 workshop with Greg Skril. Discover how ENS transforms crypto addresses into human-readable names (like greg.eth) for seamless user experiences across Web3. The workshop covers forward/reverse resolution, on-chain vs. off-chain resolvers, and CCIP-read for L2 subnames using tools like Duran. With $10K in prizes for best ENS implementations (including decentralized website hosting and multi-chain identity solutions), this session is ideal for developers building wallets, dApps, or identity systems. Includes live demos of L2 subname deployment and ENS profile customization with text records. 00:00 – Introduction: Why ENS Matters for Crypto Usability 00:34 – Real-World Examples: Etherscan & Wallet Transactions 01:10 – Forward vs. Reverse Resolution Explained 01:48 – Multi-Chain Identity: Setting Reverse Records 02:20 – ENS as a Global Web3 Profile (Snapshot/Matcha Examples) 02:54 – ENS Data Structure: Addresses, Text Records & Content Hashes 03:27 – Technical Deep Dive: Registry & Resolver Contracts 04:02 – Public Resolver: On-Chain Data Storage 04:37 – Customizing Profiles: Text Records for Proofs/Data 05:07 – Content Hashes: Decentralized Websites (IPFS) 05:46 – Off-Chain Resolvers & CCIP-Read (EIP-3668) 06:54 – Trustless L2 Data Access via Gateways 08:09 – Hackathon Prizes: L2 Subnames, Infrastructure, Best Use 08:47 – Demo: Duran Framework for L2 Subnames 10:36 – Deploying Custom Registar Contracts 12:43 – Connecting L1 ENS to L2 Registries 14:08 – Registering Subnames (Live Demo) 15:56 – Supported Chains: Base, Arbitrum, Celo, Scroll 16:37 – Infrastructure Prize Ideas: IPFS Pinning Service 18:10 – Multi-Chain Primary Name Relays 18:40 – Best Use of ENS: Creative Integrations 19:10 – Q&A: Telegram & Booth Support _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 🇹🇼 *ETHGlobal Taipei* This workshop is specifically for ETHGlobal Taipei, a 3-day hackathon held April 4-6 2025, that brought together the most skilled web3 developers, designers and product builders from all around the globe for a weekend-long adventure to advance the Ethereum ecosystem! _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ ✅ Follow ENS X: https://x.com/ensdomains ✅ *Follow ETHGlobal* X: https://x.com/ETHGlobal Warpcast: https://warpcast.com/ethglobal Website: https://ethglobal.com YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/ETHGlobal _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _Are you interested in Ethereum development and entrepreneurship?_ 👉 Sign up for the next ETHGlobal event: https://ethglobal.com/events 🎁 Get exclusive access and perks with ETHGlobal Plus! https://ethglobal.com/plus 📣 Want us to throw an event in your city?
