Join RISC Zero CEO Jeremy Bruestle and Kartik Talwar in this fireside chat from Pragma Denver 2025, where they explore Boundless—the universal ZK protocol poised to transform on-chain and off-chain computation. Learn how RISC Zero’s risk-5 ZKVM, “steel” for off-chain Solidity execution, and “kalyua” for streamlined rollups enable massive scalability, lower gas costs, and decentralized proving. Discover why Boundless leverages existing blockchains rather than launching a new L1 or L2, how data availability and privacy fit into verifiable computation, and how hardware acceleration continuously boosts ZK proving performance. If you’re curious about ZK tech, decentralized marketplaces for proofs, or the future of frictionless, scalable dApp development, this conversation offers a front-row seat to the next era of verifiable execution. 00:00 Introduction: Jeremy Bruestle & RISC Zero 00:46 Boundless Overview: A Universal ZK Protocol 02:56 ZK VMs & RISC-V Performance Enhancements 04:37 Engineering Gains & GPU Acceleration 06:50 Off-Chain Execution vs On-Chain Gas Costs 08:44 “Steel”: Running Solidity Off-Chain 09:48 “Kalyua”: Rollups & ZK Verification 11:26 Data Availability & Decentralized Proofs 15:57 Boundless Marketplace & Prover Incentives 17:05 Atomic Composability & Asynchronous Calls 20:55 Testnet Phase, Mainnet Plans & Future Vision 21:27 Conclusion & Next Steps in ZK Execution _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 🇺🇸 *Pragma Denver* Pragma Denver 2025 was held on February 25th at ReelWorks in Denver, Colorado and was an in-person summit for builders and leaders in the web3 ecosystem.
