Build CRE workflows using Chainlink Privacy Capabilities I Andrej Rakic, Frank Kong

Sat, May 2, 2026, 12:00 AM

In this workshop, Andrej Rakic and Frank Kong, developer relation engineers from Chainlink Labs, introduce the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) and Chainlink's privacy capabilities. Andrej explains CRE as an orchestration layer that connects the real world with smart contracts on any chain through off-chain workflows written in TypeScript or Go, compiled to WebAssembly and run across Chainlink's decentralized oracle network. He covers the three core concepts: workflows, triggers, and capabilities. Frank then walks through Chainlink's two privacy features available for the hackathon. The first is Confidential HTTP requests, which use enclaves to securely store and decrypt secrets like API keys so they remain hidden from node operators. The second is Compliant Private Token Transfer, which allows users to transfer ERC20 tokens through a vault using shielded addresses, with an Access Control Engine (ACE) for setting compliance rules on transfers. The session also covers hackathon bounties and Chainlink's AI agent skills for faster development. 00:00 Introduction 00:47 Speaker Introductions 01:23 Hackathon Bounties Overview 03:34 Chainlink Agent Skills and MCP Server 05:41 What Is Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) 06:35 CRE Core Concepts: Workflows 07:57 Hello World Workflow Example 08:20 CRE Core Concepts: Triggers 09:01 CRE Core Concepts: Capabilities 09:27 Chainlink Privacy Features Overview 10:31 Confidential HTTP Requests and Enclaves 11:57 Compliant Private Token Transfer 12:39 Access Control Engine (ACE) 13:49 Q&A _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ *ETHGlobal Cannes 2026* This workshop is specifically for ETHGlobal Cannes 2026, a 3-day hackathon held April 3-5 at the Palace of Festivals and Congresses of Cannes, bringing together the most skilled web3 developers, designers and product builders from all around the globe for a weekend-long adventure to advance the Ethereum ecosystem!
