Join Dennison Bertram, co-founder and CEO of Tally, as he unveils Tally Swaps—a powerful new on-chain swap feature for DAOs powered by CoW Swap and the Milkman contract. In this talk from Pragma Waterloo, Dennison explains how DAOs can now perform MEV-protected token swaps without centralized intermediaries, while maintaining trustless transparency, price protection, and no-code proposal creation. Learn how Tally supports DAOs managing billions in treasury assets like Uniswap, Arbitrum, ENS, and Nouns DAO, and why decentralization, governance tooling, and credible neutrality are critical to scaling public Web3 infrastructure. 00:00 Intro to Tally and Dennison Bertram 00:48 What Tally does and who it's for 01:59 Tally’s no-code tools and proposal simulations 03:34 Why treasury management matters for DAOs 04:43 DAO treasury examples: Arbitrum, ENS, Nouns 06:14 Challenges DAOs face with token swaps 07:52 MEV risks and lack of trustless execution 08:50 Current DAO swap solutions are centralized 09:24 Enter CoW Swap and the Milkman contract 10:33 Introducing Tally Swaps: on-chain, MEV-protected 11:36 No-code swap interface and price protection 12:47 Full demo: create and execute a DAO swap proposal 14:20 Time-delayed execution and fair market pricing 15:52 Price checkers, slippage settings, solver network 17:26 On-chain transparency and execution flow 18:51 Tally’s broader mission to support DAOs 19:55 Origin story of Tally from Crypto NYC days 21:01 The comp token moment and the rise of DAO utility 22:31 Why DAOs matter: credible neutrality at scale 23:39 The Zynga problem and risks of central platforms 25:21 Why public infrastructure must be decentralized 26:30 Delaware courts vs decentralized governance 27:36 DAOs as political arenas for protocol decisions 28:35 Closing reflections on trust, fairness, and scaling _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 🇨🇦 *Pragma Waterloo* The now third edition of Pragma kicked off with a curated series of high-quality talks that sparked thought and discussion among attendees as they were storming into the Auditorium of the CIGI Building.
