Bitmark: Property rights for the digital environment | Taipei Ethereum Meetup #2017-1

Bitmark: Property rights for the digital environment. Blockchain-based systems operate securely without the need for a central party to store information and guarantee data integrity. Diverse industries are looking towards the blockchain as an emerging technology for finance, digital assets, and digital property applications. In this presentation, Sean and Chris will review the work of the Bitmark case study – an open source consensus system for digital property. They will discuss the challenges for Bitmark’s consensus mechanism design and explain how memory-hard functions were used to facilitate such challenges.
