MiCA's transitional regime ended on 1st July 2026. Any CASP serving EU clients without a licence will be in breach of EU law. Yet Romania - once marketed as a "founder-friendly" entry point into the EU - still had no complete national authorization procedure, and its regulator has publicly admitted it lacks the capacity to deliver one in time. Mind the Gapunpacks the legislative vacuum, the administrative bottleneck, and the very real risks for crypto businesses operating under the assumption that AML registration equals MiCA compliance.
