Create Cross-Chain Tokens with CCT Standard I Solange Gueiros and Andrej Rakic

Thu, Oct 2, 2025, 12:00 AM

Solange Gueiros and Andrej Rakic present on creating cross-chain tokens using the CCT (Cross-Chain Token) standard with Chainlink’s CCIP (Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol). They explain how oracles connect blockchains to external and cross-chain data, and how CCIP enables secure token and message transfers between blockchains. The CCT standard extends ERC20, allowing developers to make their own tokens interoperable across chains via token pools (burn/mint or lock/unlock mechanisms). The speakers highlight the Chainlink Token Manager UI for easy deployment, as well as open-source smart contracts for advanced use cases. They introduce Chainlink Local, a local simulation tool for rapid development and testing, compatible with Foundry, Hardhat, and Remix. The session covers hackathon bounties, integration with other Chainlink services, and provides resources for developers. Q&A addresses use cases, integration with Anvil, and debugging support. 00:00 Introduction 00:37 Speaker Introductions & Contacts 00:55 Key Resources & Hackathon Links 01:24 Oracles and Chainlink Overview 03:03 Hackathon Bounties & Sponsor Overview 03:31 Blockchain Interoperability & CCIP 04:52 CCT Standard: Cross-Chain Token Creation 06:20 Token Pools: Burn/Mint vs Lock/Unlock 08:14 Customization & Advanced Use Cases 09:28 Documentation & Guides 09:49 Chainlink Local: Local Simulation Tool 11:18 Developer Experience & Benefits 12:02 Bounties Recap & Developer Hub 13:03 Final Resources & Slides 13:32 Q&A: Use Cases & Project Integration 15:19 Q&A: Chainlink Local vs Anvil 16:37 Final Q&A & Closing Remarks _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 🇫🇷 *ETHGlobal Cannes* This workshop is specifically for ETHGlobal Cannes, a 3-day hackathon held July 4-6, bringing together the most skilled web3 developers, designers and product builders from all around the globe for a weekend-long adventure to advance the Ethereum ecosystem!
