This talk is from ETHDenver, the world’s largest Web3 BUIDLathon and Community Gathering. ETHDenver’s content is crypto and blockchain focused. Speakers: Zach Herring & Katie Johnson of ConsenSys Abstract: Look, we’ve all done it: putting hours, days, weeks, and sometimes even months into projects, only to get them to market where they just don’t find an audience that sticks around. Other times, we're asked to build "what's next" for an established product, only to zig when the market counter-intuitive zags, finding all of our work, again, rendered useless. Building things other people want is hard, even for traditional Web2 products. In Web3, the constraints are even more extreme. Oftentimes, we are asked to build moonshots on shoestring budgets and compressed timelines, for markets that haven’t yet materialized. A lot falls on folks in product, engineering, and design to prioritize The Most Important Thing and take the best swing with the few at-bats we have. So is it even possible to gather just-in-time insights that will give you a much better batting average? Join Zach and Katie as they try to answer all of this, applying a combined 20 years’ experience in innovation and design strategy to blockchain products. They’ll break down how to apply traditional Web2 innovation and insights methodology to Web3 products. These tools provide starting points to innovate responsively and build the right thing, at the right time, for the right people. After this talk you will have ... ...field-tested methodology for assembling user insights and designing better products. ...a framework for writing better questions for your user interviews. ...design thinking methods for collaborative prototyping. ...an understanding of what prototypes you need, when, and for what reasons. ...a "napkin math" framework for determining whether or not your team is ready to start building. Katie Johnson and Zach Herring are co-directors of ConsenSys’s Relays program, a funding and resourcing program ConsenSys provides to pre-seed teams. Their singular goal is to make Relays the best place to start blockchain companies. This talk was recorded Friday, February 14, 2020. ETHDenver 2020’s content themes included DeFi; DAOs and Token Engineering (TE); Gaming and Usability; Protocols and Interoperability; and Public Good and Social Impact. Industry experts also weighed in on topics like decentralization, privacy, identity, non-fungible tokens, scaling, governance, diversity, and arts and culture in blockchain technology. The 2020 event was February 14-16 in Denver, Colorado and hosted 2000+ blockchain enthusiasts, developers and community members from 50 countries and 50 U.S. states. 🔴 SUBSCRIBE ETHDenver’s YouTube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgz9NU06t_FkT0Py1Vadczw 💡 LEARN ETHDenver’s Official Website https://www.ethdenver.com/ 👋 CONNECT ETHDenver Twitter https://twitter.com/EthereumDenver 📖 READ ETHDenver News on Medium https://medium.com/ethdenver 🛍️ SHOP ETHDenver Official Merchandise bufficorn.com 💬 CHAT Telegram https://t.me/Ethdenver Discord https://discord.gg/jteMn5c 📱 FOLLOW LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/company/ethdenver Instagram https://www.instagram.com/ethdenver/ Facebook https://www.facebook.com/ETHDenver/
