State of the Metaverse Today and Beyond with Jay Steinback

Ethereum DenverSat, Oct 7, 2023, 12:00 AM

According to McKinsey, “by 2030, the value of the metaverse could reach $5 trillion.” It is unlikely that we will see one Metaverse that rules all. In fact, I believe Metaverses will be as prevalent as websites and will be a key component across all businesses globally. Currently, Metaverse platforms are siloed and lack interoperability. Development going forward needs to bridge the worlds of Metaverses, incorporate technology, and be able to create value for users and companies in the revolutionary shift from Web2 to Web3. How can the developer ecosystem support the vision of meta and contributors in technology demands? Jay Steinback CEO & CHAIRMAN yWhales As the leader of a third-generation family business, Jay Steinback guided the company to a successful exit to private equity. Before that, he had opportunities to lead startups in entertainment, technology, real estate, and retail. Up until last year, his primary focus was working with his wife Amanda on VUE Enterprises a Real Estate ecosystem based in St. Louis, Missouri. In early 2021 Jay and a small group of YPO’ers held a zoom call to discuss the concept of crypto/blockchain and ultimately Web3. From that initial meeting under Jay’s relentless leadership yWhales was founded. It went from a small group of executives with curiosity to roughly 1,000 members globally and growing. What started as a small zoom call has grown into a very robust community with international outreach and growing influence in the Web3 space. Currently, yWhales has active chat servers, weekly podcast productions with major industry influencers, NFT membership projects, early projects in the Metaverse, education and training programs, and multiple speaking engagements around the world. Jay also makes time for weekly touchpoints with the community to introduce new members and collaborate with international leaders in this new space. With the aggressive growth, Jay decided to step out of the day-to-day of his real estate businesses and focus his efforts full-time on yWhales. Experience in building an international network of business executives has led Jay to become a thought leader and expert in crypto/blockchain/Web3 and how it relates to businesses today. His efforts, and the efforts of this very engaged community, have led to the creation of a powerful network and some lifelong personal and professional relationships of people who believe in the future of Web3. yWhales is currently working on an investment fund, incubator projects, and advisory solutions, and continuing to grow a robust community for all things Web3. Jay is the Co-Founder, CEO, and visionary of yWhales, aiming to drive communities globally to implement, innovate, and lead the next evolution of the internet.
