Circle Developer Workshop I Corey Cooper

Thu, Oct 2, 2025, 12:00 AM

Corey Cooper, head of the DevRel team at Circle, presents an in-depth overview of Circle's developer platform, focusing on tools and infrastructure for seamless USDC (USD Coin) integration. He highlights Circle's mission to drive global economic prosperity via frictionless value exchange, leveraging USDC—the largest regulated stablecoin. Key offerings include wallet infrastructure (dev control, user control, modular wallets), smart contract platform, Paymaster for gas fee abstraction, and the Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP v2) enabling fast, efficient cross-chain USDC transfers using burn-and-mint methodology. Cooper introduces Gateway, a new tool for unifying fragmented USDC balances across chains, and previews ARC, Circle’s upcoming EVM-compatible L1 blockchain optimized for stablecoin finance, featuring USDC as the native gas token, on-chain FX, instant finality, and opt-in privacy. The session emphasizes developer empowerment, compliance, and the importance of robust, scalable, and user-friendly stablecoin infrastructure. 00:00 Introduction 00:50 Circle’s Mission & USDC Overview 03:06 Developer Platform & Services 05:29 Wallet Infrastructure Deep Dive 08:16 Gas Abstraction & Compliance 10:08 Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP v2) 14:17 CCTP Use Cases 16:43 Paymaster for Gas Fees 19:14 Gateway: Unified USDC Balances 23:42 ARC: Circle’s EVM-Compatible L1 Blockchain 26:10 Developer Resources & Closing _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 🇺🇸 *ETHGlobal New York* This workshop is specifically for ETHGlobal New York, a 3-day hackathon held August 15-17, bringing together the most skilled web3 developers, designers and product builders from all around the globe for a weekend-long adventure to advance the Ethereum ecosystem!
