Join Guy Itzhaki, CEO of Fhenix, at Pragma San Francisco 2024 as he explores the transformative potential of Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) in blockchain technology. Discover how FHE rollups and co-processors enhance blockchain privacy and scalability by enabling confidential smart contracts and encrypted computation. Learn about the advantages of FHE compared to traditional privacy technologies like ZK proofs, MPC, and TEEs, and explore real-world applications including confidential transactions, sealed-bid auctions, decentralized identity, credit scoring, and confidential AI. 00:00 Introduction: Guy Itzhaki from Fhenix on FHE 00:52 Understanding Blockchain & Lack of Privacy 01:26 What Privacy Means: Anonymity vs. Confidentiality 02:01 Confidential Smart Contracts Explained 03:12 Use Case Example: Sealed-Bid Auctions 04:25 Limitations of ZK Proofs for Confidentiality 04:59 MPC: Benefits, Limitations, and Use Cases 05:34 Issues with Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) 06:07 Introducing Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) 06:42 How FHE Enables Computation on Encrypted Data 07:21 Overcoming Complexity: Easy Development with FHE 07:56 Improving FHE Performance & Hardware Optimization 08:33 What is an FHE Rollup & How Does It Work? 09:48 Implementing FHE Co-Processors for L1, L2 & L3 Chains 11:07 Step-by-Step: How FHE Co-Processors Function 11:42 Real-World Blockchain Applications Using FHE 12:57 Decentralized Identity, Credit Scoring & Lending 13:33 Confidential AI: Intersection of AI & Blockchain 14:08 How AI Can Improve Blockchain Applications 14:43 Decentralized AI Models & Data Privacy with FHE 15:17 Future of AI: Agent-to-Agent Transactions 15:47 Ensuring Data Authenticity & Privacy with Blockchain 16:24 Conclusion & Resources to Learn More about FHE _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 🇺🇸 *Pragma San Francisco* Pragma San Francisco 2024 was a special gathering of founders and builders that took place October 16th and 17th at The Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco, CA.
