Opening Address

[Music] it's uh good afternoon it's great to be with you here it's an honor to be uh in Abu Dhabi Global Market thank you very much for uh giving me the opportunity to be a part of this great event and thank you very much for all of the partners participants all of the Mah great ISM that we've seen outside and across all of those aspects in the morning as well we attended a great uh Workshop as well in that uh aspects where AI safe AI secure AI responsible AI is and uh always will be the most important thing on those coming inshallah events because everybody yes moved towards AI now they want to secure it now they want to actually make it real really uh responsible and that's what we are doing here Abu Dhabi Global uh Market really have set great stones in many of those aspects we've signed a greatus with them and we had a great partnership and the most important things is focusing on cyber security UAE as well as Abu Dhabi is well known about it's the safest city in the world and not only on the physical world but also in the virtual world and that's what we are actually sending this message message in and across all platforms across all sectors Aviation as well as Mah Education Health Care energy and many of uh uh those sectors we are trying to ensure in a partnership with everybody that these sectors are safe and secure how we do that with everybody speaking about AI moving towards AI moving towards digital transformation be it in the space or be it on the physical Wars be it on the Sovereign cloud or be it on promise clouds or hyers scalers or many of those aspects our job is to ensure that partnership and to fulfill the national cyber security strategy and that focuses in five main pillars and we always bring this back and forth in that perspective the first pillar is the governings we need to ensure we have those right governings policies procedures legislations laws and many of those things that alhamdulillah with the central bank as well as with abudhabi Global Market we're setting many of those great initiatives to make sure it's flexible it's resilient and it is actually acceptable to everybody in that perspective and that's where the goverance comes in the cyber security or in the AI or in using safe and secure AI for the convenient of a humanity and that's our goal that's the vision of the leadership towards the Centennial of UAE 2071 we are moving towards an AI nation and the goals have already been set the vision is already there alhamdulillah the execution plan that's what we are working on the second pillar is about protecting and defending protecting from all of those attacks we see and as well as I'm sure you faced many of those aspects especially nowadays with the platforms and social media you see here and there there are so many misinformation disinformation as well as deep faith and many other things as a matter of fact our main three threats that we are always trying to defend as well as work with everybody to protect from our cyber crimes and I'm sure this scams as well as fraud uh anti-money launderings uh terrorism financing and many of those aspects alhamdulillah there are great steps have done and been doing in that perspective the second threat is the cyber terrorism and this is where the misinformation the disinformation the Deep fake and many of the things that we see in order to actually again send the ideology or the bite ideology in that perspective and yes we are caring about that and we are ensuring the Safety and Security of the people and the platforms through all of the partnership that we have the third step or the third threat is cyber warfare fair having UAE and that geopolitical aspects in the middle of so many things around us we need to protect from that cyber warfare that could um impact us from a critical infrastructure or attacks any of our critical infrastructures and the financial sector is one of those major critical infrastructures and I'm sure you've seen through uh again the geopolitical aspects happening across us many of those cyber warfare type of impacts here and there back to the cyber security strategy yes we said the governings we said the protecting and defending and we work on building capacity building building the uh human factors to be really uh able to not only Embrace this technology but to cope with the many of those technology to really be ready whenever any of those uh new technologies comes be it iots be it blockchains be it AI be it quantum as we actually finished recently the post Quantum alhamdulillah standards and it's already out there where we move to alhamdulillah applying those postquantum aspects across many of the sectors we have and then UA as well one of the main pillar is well known about Innovation you saw the space 42 you saw many of alhamdulillah great initiatives that we have you saw G's llm model you saw Falcon LM models you saw the efforts we did with so many partners be it again uh Microsoft or AWS or Google itself or any of those great players here and there helping us to really make sense of this data not only AI for the sake of AI but again back to Mr Hassan point is we need to really benefit from that what is the end point that we need to benefit from this and that's where UAE comes in order to ensure that alignment for the mission that we are all actually uh aligned and really working together in doing and that's what takes us to that last pillar we cannot do this ourself the partnership is very important to us working together in order to ensure many of that partnership and bringing everybody in this ecosystem is very important to us worldwide as well as Nationwide region wide and that's what we are doing alhamdulillah the cyber security Council have alhamdulillah spread their arms across so many entities here in the region as well as with the United Nations and as well as with many great Partners alhamdulillah UAE now is set to be number one in cyber security and because of that partnership because of many of those agendas based on the global cyber index under the itu with the United Nations and many of the players here and there so our message here is to really spread that cyber security culture we need to have it as a hygiene in our DNA we need to really be aware of many of those threats that could really uh impact us we need it not only for us or our businesses but even for Our Generation to come for our youngesters who are actually using the technology more than we do and that's what that spread of cyber security culture across all Society is our goal and we we cannot do this ourself we need everybody with us in order to really build that Prosperity build that peaceful aspects of technology and that's our goal so
