Speaker: Ben Heidorn of Blockade Games Abstract: Building a mainstream game requires a significant amount of ingenuity, effort, time, and money. Add blockchain into the mix, and the complexity of aiming for mainstream audiences seems insurmountable with current technology. At Blockade, they have spent the past two years researching, testing, and building infrastructure made for producing mainstream games with an uncompromising blockchain backend infrastructure. Ben Heidorn dives into the exact mechanics of what they have built at Blockade Games to support games and how other developers can adopt similar techniques and improve upon them. This talk was recorded Saturday, February 15, 2020. ETHDenver 2020’s content themes included DeFi; DAOs and Token Engineering (TE); Gaming and Usability; Protocols and Interoperability; and Public Good and Social Impact.
