Create Cross Chain Tokens with CCT Standard I Solange Gueiros

Thu, Oct 2, 2025, 12:00 AM

Solange Gueiros presents a Chainlink workshop on creating cross-chain tokens using the CCT (Cross-Chain Token) standard and CCIP (Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol). She explains how Chainlink’s decentralized oracle network connects blockchains to external data and services, enabling secure interoperability. Key services discussed include data feeds, data streams, proof of reserves, Chainlink Functions (for integrating Web2 APIs), automation, and VRF (verifiable random functions). The core focus is on CCIP, which allows secure token and message transfers across blockchains, supporting both lock/unlock and mint/burn models. The Token Manager interface simplifies deploying and managing cross-chain tokens, setting token pools, and configuring rate limits. Solange highlights the use of Chainlink Local for rapid prototyping without mainnet constraints, and encourages hackathon participants to leverage Chainlink’s services. She answers questions on supported networks, integrating DeFi protocols, and cost considerations, emphasizing documentation and community support. 00:00 Introduction 00:35 Speaker Introduction & Resources 01:14 What are Oracles? 02:21 Chainlink Services Overview 03:55 Chainlink Functions & Automation 05:20 CCIP & CCT Overview 06:47 Blockchain Interoperability Explained 08:33 Cross-Chain Token Workflow 09:39 Token Pools: Lock/Unlock vs Mint/Burn 10:08 CCIP Security Architecture 11:01 Deploying Cross-Chain Tokens with Token Manager 12:05 Token Pools & Rate Limits 12:47 Testnets & Chainlink Local 14:49 Developer Resources & Documentation 15:43 Q&A: Chainlink Functions vs CCIP 17:12 Q&A: Supported Networks & Token Manager 18:33 Q&A: Bridging Tokens & DeFi Integration 19:07 Q&A: Security, Trust, and Costs 20:30 Closing Remarks & Support _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 🇺🇸 *ETHGlobal New York* This workshop is specifically for ETHGlobal New York, a 3-day hackathon held August 15-17, bringing together the most skilled web3 developers, designers and product builders from all around the globe for a weekend-long adventure to advance the Ethereum ecosystem!
