so my name is Laura sui and I'm on the product team at Vora Vora is a web three mobile app um with a lot of wallet features focused on a newer to user a newer to crypto user um and I started my crypto Journey about two years ago and I was pretty taken aback by how challenging it is I know that's something we talk about a lot um but I don't even mean just wallets and understanding what those are protocols understanding what those are or what different blockchains offer different features also just how people use crypto today going from Mobile to desktop and back and forth um just to accomplish what they're what they're trying to do so um for those uh sax in the city fans out there um like Carrie Bradshaw always thinking about and pondering different things um in life I couldn't help but Wonder does crypto ux have to be so bad me in 2022 great um so let's kind of talk about uh the problem space a little bit so today um on average 40% of users are visiting the top 100 daps on mobile um but we see and actually some of our partners are telling us that it's more like 70% of their mobile traffic or just traffic to their app in general and yet only 8% of the top 100 daps have a mobile app and there's a really big gap here between where users are and where we're building for them today in crypto oh I think these slides might be out of order so great um um okay so uh the problem um is not that there aren't opportunities in crypto and and defi today the problem is that it's complicated so if you are a user and you want to participate in a lending protocol or earn on your stable coin holding um you have to go through about I don't know eight or nine steps so for example first you need to find a pool that you want to deposit your funds into you have to understand what apy means and how much you're actually going to earn then you need to get the right asset to deposit into the pool so all of the gotas with what chain it's on whether or not it's a wrapped asset once you have all these things you go to deposit and shoot you need money to pay for gas so you're also buying a gas paying token as well you have all these things you deposit your funds and then you're having this weird experience where you have to um keep checking uh how your performance is doing or how you're earning by like going back and forth between the DAP and your wallet and I would guess that this is also something between desktop and mobile so I'm asking you today to break up with your complicated ux we are bored um appala this is something that we are really really passionate about and we are very focused on mobile I want to give an example a feature that we've launched recently um that we call stable coin earning um where basically we allow users to join manage and withdraw um into uh pools um all in app um and this is a fully native mobile optimized experience um that users can do in just a couple of TAPS so you can see in this video um that is how easily a user can deposit funds into an a pool so friends don't let friends um build their own mobile apps it is very very difficult to do um and I just want to let you know that I've got you guys so um we want you to be the best web 3 ux version of yourself um and building on mobile stack um which is a project where we're helping Builders um use and leverage native mobile experiences like seamless swapping being being able to view crypto and defi positions in app not having to go back and forth um being able to send crypto in a text message being able to onboard your users really easily without seed phrases or telling your users what um like wallet to download I guess in order to use your product um earning yield and a few Taps and push notifications because we know how important it is to actually talk to your users um and that's a problem today so build on mobile stack um you can leverage these native mobile experiences and we actually have so much more um if this is interesting to you um The Vora team will be at this happy hour tomorrow the future of web 3 is mobile with some of our most important partners and um teammates and you can also contact me on telegram or go to mobile.xyz um let's start building Better ux Together [Applause]
