Flow Bounties & Builder Support Deep Dive I Ali Serag

Thu, Oct 2, 2025, 12:00 AM

Ali Serag, DevRel lead at the Flow Foundation, introduces Flow’s bounty tracks and builder opportunities at ETHGlobal New Delhi. Flow, created by the team behind CryptoKitties, was designed from the ground up to solve scalability challenges and enable the next wave of consumer-focused Web3 applications. This session highlights two main bounty categories. The first is the Best Killer App on Flow, which encourages builders to create consumer-ready applications across EVM or Flow’s native Cadence VM, with the potential to spark mainstream adoption just like CryptoKitties or ChatGPT did in their fields. The second is the Best Automation & Actions track, powered by Flow’s new DeFi Actions and Automations standard, which streamlines workflows across protocols and reduces developer complexity. Builders can also leverage scheduled callbacks to enable onchain cron jobs, unlocking new possibilities for games, digital collectibles, and automated DeFi systems. Ali also shares details on pre-hackathon events, including the Builder Sabha and team-forming breakfast, as well as the WWTF campaign, where participants can earn rewards and prizes for registering their projects. With $10,000 in bounties and the chance to build consumer-ready apps, Flow offers developers a powerful platform and unmatched community support to experiment, innovate, and launch the next generation of Web3 experiences. 00:10 Introduction 00:29 Background: Flow & CryptoKitties origin 00:59 Flow architecture: dual VMs (EVM + Cadence) 01:18 Best Killer App bounty explained 01:42 Consumer-oriented app potential & examples 02:22 Gaming, AI agents & DeFi as killer apps 02:49 Best Automation & Actions bounty 03:14 DeFi actions as universal workflows 04:00 Scheduled callbacks & onchain automation 04:47 Examples: games, collectibles, giveaways 05:10 Builder Sabha & pre-hackathon breakfast 05:55 WTF campaign & extra rewards 06:16 Closing: $10k in bounties & call to action _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 🇮🇳 *ETHGlobal New Delhi* This workshop is specifically for ETHGlobal New Delhi, a 3-day hackathon held September 19-21 at the India International Convention & Expo Centre, bringing together the most skilled web3 developers, designers and product builders from all around the globe for a weekend-long adventure to advance the Ethereum ecosystem!
