A Protogovernance Framework for Accelerating Humanity - Buenos Aires 2025

A Protogovernance Framework for Accelerating Humanity with the Covenant of Humanistic Technology: Shady El Damaty argues the “human layer” is the real bottleneck. Rights like free speech or security don’t reliably carry into online life, so the challenge is building cultural and governance scaffolding that can keep pace with accelerating tech. He introduces protogovernance as small, local, in person communities taking responsibility for how values show up in systems. He also shares Human.Tech’s Covenant as a practical framework and community platform for embedding digital rights into the tools we build. Speaker: Shady El Damaty (human.tech by Holonym Foundation) This session was part of the 14th edition of Funding the Commons, held November 19, 2025, at Fundación Beethoven in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
