so I offered to talk a bit about Gusman change and not because this game is so special in itself but because it is the first large-scale game in which they like known fungible tokens and non-credible tokens are tokens that run on aetherium and each of them represent a unique asset inside of the game so they are different from ordinary tokens the ordinary doubles our ear c20 standard which are all interchangeable similar to dollars or bitcoins but the non functional token is just a unique I am and you can move it around on the East area just like a train moves on the track but it's a unique thing that represents a unique in-game item and the gate client the software in the game who talks 2d giving blockchain you see is like oh you have these items and then you can control those in the game and you can transfer them to another address so to another person so they become tradable items and that's the cool thing about non fungible tokens and the first example of this was crypto kitties and anybody ever played the kitties yes you have everybody else knows the Replicators are right so you have these collectible cats they are cartoon cats and they record their unique cat that sits on your theory important and if you have metal mask wallet in your browser you can interact with your cats and the cool thing is that you can breathe them and then you get a new cat as the the genetic traits from the parents cats and then you can go sell them or you can rent them out to breed with other people's cats and then the trick is to find ours to mix and match interesting traits that make your cats rare and valuable so you can sell it for more either and there were a ridiculous price to pay for cats the most expensive cat man $400,000 for more so at my person I bought a few cats for $80 and then I sold a few as well for like five or twenty dollars in Indiana I ran a small loss but while it was baby buckle it was like an interesting thing to see how his work and but just reading cats is not very interesting for like on our game point of view so that's why this is a game that's much more interesting is based on Magic the Gathering which is the card training game and it already has a long history we're but its physical cards so you have cards and you make it that and you have to beat your opponent just sort of like chess except with cards and you can see them here and then the trick is to get there and powerful cards in your deck and but those were all the money you mentioned together and they were physical cards and you have to be lucky to have a deck that has a rare card but now we can put that those cards on the blockchain has none fungible Tobin and then buy and sell these cars if you can afford it and you can combine cards to make more valuable cards as well in the same way as you can create new cats by breeding them indicate some cookies so there's like 10 other games that have similar concept did you have a token nice in-game assets but I will not go into the details of those I will use this is the most interesting example because technically and they have done some cool things this is the marketplace you see this guy's one of the games I explained again you can see the prices these are relatively cheap cards but you can filter them on type and what kind of god they are for and kind of back there before and then you pay and dis improve your your deck that way so there was an interesting fact about Sally butterman who created material that supposedly one of the reasons he he wanted it he theorem to exist is that he you speed is very serious player of World of Warcraft so this massive multiplayer online game and he was obsessed with it and he had an extremely powerful character and then there was an update blizzards the production company did an update of the whole game and they his character which was much less powerful as a consequence of that update it might even have been deliberate in order to say like this combination of traits is not really balanced of fair so they just decided that his character was not not so cool anymore and apparently he cried himself to sleep and he stopped playing World of Warcraft and he realized how bad it is to have centralized control over the powers of these characters so that can imagine that that must be one of the inspirations for creating a theorem which is indeed suitable for the decentralized ecosystem and that is immutable right you supposedly cannot just change these rules now in the case of gods might change when there is a batch of new it's release there is actually a period of one month in which and game designers can change a few attributes of the car still so it's not set in stone what those cars can do but after that they are fixed and of course that movie that the price would be more stable playing figure out what this car to do and they know the company will hopefully not change the attributes right so I hope that in the discussion you can talk a little bit more about like how immutable that really is you know but there is this in-between thing that they fix it after a month so per ticket is the proof that you can create these kinda things and yeah I talked about the car so tradable and rare and what is the cool technical innovation that they did when they launched these cars is that they launched the six million non-functional tokens that each represented these unique tradable cars and they created them in batches so the network did not get over love they've created six million dopants in three days without the etherion Network slowing down because they created multiple guards in one transaction whereas in case of cryptokeys you might remember that in fact the December the whole human network when when completely walked down and everything was full because the issuance of these cats and the trend lines gets all happened at the same time and just the network could not handle that so they thought that in a clever way by batching these transactions I don't know what they did in detail and maybe you wouldn't you guys ain't coming from that but apparently they it was you didn't have to invent a new technology to create more efficient issuance system that was a bit of a surprise for me so now what is really cool about having a non fungible token that is immutable on on blockchain is that you can create your own gang on top of these tokens so you can say well ok I have this sword or these this card in this game but I can create my own game using that asset as an input so you could basically anybody who is part of an ecosystem of you can import or detract to your game because they will sound we have certain abilities or assets that can be recycled inside of your new game flow so this is one example way you can have two cat race other cats and there is bounty the winner of McAfee they will either and it depends on the catcher abuse with sort of genetic traits of your cat plus how when they enter in the race I don't know the details doesn't matter but somebody is like hey you know I can have these cats race and then people started breeding cats in the original cryptokeys based on how fast they can go in this game because you can win money right so this is the kind of thing that really kept me gets me excited this is also the first thing I mean realize that this would be possible when I heard about tokens and it's so cool to see how this is a very example of how you can do this another way third-party apps helping ecosystem is that you can have like software that starts for example to rank all the cards that are in the marketplace in a unique way the original game developers did not work on so you can just keep adding to the ecosystem and this is really much more interesting than tradition environments I have three questions that we can sort of discuss and something that really occurs to me and I would like to get you your guys the Vienna is that this big balance period of one month is that a good compromise between having an immutable thing like really immutable and a fair game you know because the original idea or that it's supposed to be that if you require certain attributes then it's impossible to change them but you still have a game company that sort of decides how to interpret this non-functional token so that is still a centralized aspect in the game so they could maybe not say for you specifically this character is too strong or they could still do something like what happened to mr. bhooteriya man he was it's so if we didn't really add new functionality all that much right so what do you think like isn't is this idea of rebalance periods does this disprove the whole functionality that we were looking for doesn't disprove the availability what exactly is being rebalance yeah so you can change the attributes of the cards if the card is too powerful and people say like wow I can just win every game okay right yeah and then they don't want that to happen I mean just supposed to be fun and fair right but it's just like with mr. Boutrous character in world of warcraft you could argument it was probably very powerful character but he created that it was his character so he should be able to control it or not they will to the gaming company to decide if your car gets changed or not so but if everybody agrees and a certain number of boats or whatever and would have to come up with an economy for that but that is definitely a possibility I agree yeah but as it is it's just a game designer to get to decide so I feel really weird about it it's like okay we went through all this trouble to create an immutable a game ecosystem and at least you don't have to trust that a game design of all that much but apparently there's still no guarantees separation because always [Music] how many new car second issues like at some point some stuff I think but before we dress that by saying you only have six million cars and the issuing them slowly after death would be created later that you can make ready stuff because half the cards and or if you have a lot of money maybe the game is about money just like poker you know maybe it's part of the game to have money and oh I found this really dangerous trick of this car I found a loophole I can sell this part now for way more ether so that ended yet there's this cool phrase that ever in the couple years ago colleague and said that ball chain basically means that you have the gamification of Finance but also the other way around to have financialization of games so they become viable assets I don't know what's your opinion about because she seems no they more about that is cross game works so I don't know another person the other games that I'm playing right now is the ones on Bitcoin and they're called get point but then basically you get a article and an opportunity and afterwards and those operators I don't know if you can trade them but I think they have some kind of value but in that because like if you're just like a random user on the street like you really have to sound like the idea but don't it is valuable so the way I think about this is like the spectrum of like who decides what right because like if you have one important graphite the company then just watching the person listen the CEO says okay I don't like that guy let's just take his powerful sword the you know the database boom you know what do you work for like for like years to like build I think you know like the meteors Dahlia dictating your feet now the other like if you scale it back now there is this concept like the decentralized autonomous organizations where like let's say like companies like who decides okay what's there to do is you have things like creation markets are like these new things like quadratic just to solve this okay we like how do you solve the amount you see in the way there's not terrible this is a very very hard thing you know to solve in like a lot of people right now you to ask they're like knitting these things I like but it seems to the games are a bit easier you know so the consensus that seems to emerge from this is that if there is a place to get to more fair thing but there's no guarantees now it's at least more fair than then taking summer school character or someone if they notice that there's a tweet certain cards and that's a major advantage for some reason quickly like let's let's move to the next question I have two more so how can we be centralized the game mechanics - right so you have there is a certain way I guess is like artistically superior because you get a unified aesthetic for money stove is we even if I could make you do whatever I want at least there's somebody out there who has what they are right but you can also scale other elements of the game as well if you did surprise the word game is very hard to pin down I think it was we can sign yeah so if you use the word game you can apply that to a lot of things you can say like that your career is like a game like love is like a game but I'm talking I'm using it in a very narrow sense of like something on a computer that you play for fun and it's like this fantasy world with the Magic Circle that you go into and you have to score and like that kind kind of thing so that's why that's what I'm referring to I'm not a friend to game theory the mathematical sense yeah thanks I think it's personally my goomah being awfully Bitcoin and trying to get as much of it in the can is much more interesting game than some card game that seems to be mostly designed for 12 year old people I think that's fine but I'm gonna interested in the potential of this so I think there's always this trade-off between okay really obsessed and really upset and like users and like just the users you just play just like a few hours so like you have like this addicts like these vegetable players these casual players now some companies you will try to figure out okay who are the users we get money so sometimes it's like okay these people just please feel free so we don't care so these focus on like the hardcore players while they're trying to balance ease of play beginners and not like getting so if it's like World War were cast how do you prep protect me from like getting slaughtered by bees I think when only NFC games that revenue stream sits is different in general so for example like sandbox or like just other f1 or something gosh there's a LAFD games they like they want to have users creating content there are many streamers from we're afraid that saying I trade on that path but when you shrink with someone else I don't take any money so it's like what you were saying it does I think the message I have it planned it so if their revenue comes from like having people trade it up then that's something that they want to build in and that's what we came at me I think it's relatively easy to have acts are just on that regression I think you mentioned you could select for one of our hackathon with we broke sort of like a like a monkey draw on top of these energy so it's not I think the server for fire free part it's just the user facing part that what makes it look good on easy to use is you know get all that data today for free it's not the men I'm trying to get to a mechanism that price your eyes is sort of like that the part where it makes it easy to use but anyone could we need to play without going through that by just introduction it I think it it's it's a decentralized readiness office and it doesn't mean the very fact that the training itself is actually part of the game mechanics yeah so you can't become like an investor you can say I'm gonna play this game because I want to make as much money as possible I'm gonna see if I can combine cars in the most financially advantageous way right and I'm just killing a bunch of people to show how about my card is like things like that or you could say like oh I really wanted to be taken away by the story of these gods and all these characters and I just want this fantasy world and I don't care about how much needs are a today to continue playing like this that's already a good example but yeah I was just to try to explore like ways how can we do it is more and I can totally see how there is universal possibility by combining difference blockchain with tokens and new games it's kind of like well you've got this sword here in this game didn't come to an alligator it becomes a gun
